Using COM’s to Expand GME

The additions to the COCA Standard 10 requiring growing and new medical schools to plan for GME slots for 30% of the new positions has created angst in many UME leaders. We will discuss practical solutions for meeting accreditation requirements through collaborations and feasibility analysis.  

Webinar Objectives:

• Construct priorities for GME development and programming to support the mission of the medical school. 

• Analyze the needs of the medical school, needs of the community and components of a feasibility study to determine best alternatives for GME development. 

• Utilize the results of a feasibility study to Identify and plan for SI and program administration to align with the ACGME Institutional, Common and Specialty requirements.
