GME Educational Program Design II
Presenter: Carmela Meyer, MBA, Ed.D. and Heather Peters, M.Ed., Ph.D.
Recorded: November, 2022
Moving into the specifics of how to develop a robust evaluation system is the focus of the second in this series. No matter the age of your program, there is a need to review the entire evaluation process (forms, timeline, CCC) every 3 years to ensure you are aligning with current outcome measures (ACGME survey, milestones, specialty requirements). Join us as we make sense out of the “evaluation octopus.”
- Articulate the “how” behind the curriculum structure that was discussed in Program Design I
- Elaborate on the process for evaluating/designing the system that monitors all of the curriculum elements – the evaluation process
- Explore best practices for 1) faculty evaluation of trainees; 2) using evaluations to inform the CCC and program/faculty improvement, and 3) driving program improvement with trainee and faculty feedback
